My Juice Plus Diary - Week  One

I am the most likely person to ever diet or exercise. Mainly because I see a piece of cake and think 'I'll have that' and the thought of exercise makes me tired before I have even begun and then after all the thinking of exercise, I stick the kettle on and make a cup of tea! I know I've written this in a few blogs before and it is very very true! 

When I got messaged about Juice Plus I was intrigued and did want to know more and so I talked to a juice plus representative about it and asked silly questions like 'do I add milk?' or 'does it work like a milkshake?' - Yes I actually did ask these questions! It took me ages to decide whether or not I wanted to join Juice Plus and I wasn't sure whether or not I could do it. 

I decided I wanted to do it when I came back from work and had no energy and felt really loungy and bloated. I would feel so sleepy after a ten hour shift and could hardly keep my eyes open or just feel completely yuck! That was it - TIME TO GET HEALTHY!! And so I had embarked on a new adventure - to get healthy! My goal was to get healthy and loose a little weight. I wanted to feel like I could run around the garden 10 times and still have energy to run further! (I know its a bit extreme but you get my point!) My goals are still the same and I am still determined to get healthier! 

And so I ordered my Juice Plus shakes and the following week they arrived. I had gone shopping a few days before and excitedly ran round Morrisons choosing fruits, milk and snacks I could eat! I couldn't wait to try my first Juice Plus Shake! The first Shake I made was a Vanilla Juice Plus, Raspberry and Hazelnut Milk and it was sooo good.



And so I made shakes for the following day was the same as I had made for breakfast and a Chocolate JP, Raspberries, Hazelnut milk and Bananas. It was Friday that I discovered that I disliked Hazelnut milk and no matter how much I tried to convince myself it was nice, it wasn't and I ended up feeling rather sicky. And due to the Hazelnut milk I then decided to take a break and go back to 'normal'food. 

Yeah, I lasted two days!! 

I read that if you join Juice plus you aren't allowed caffeine, So there went my cups of tea and so I decided to go cold turkey and cut out my cups of tea. I have never felt so tired, drained, head-achy, shaky in all my life. My whole body couldn't function and the more I told myself no the more I craved a sip of a cup of tea! I couldn't concentrate and felt like I got annoyed easily at everything, I felt more impatient and four days later I stuck the kettle on and made a cup if tea!  I have given into caffeine but instead of four to five cups a day, I have limited it down to one or two cups. Now I know it isn't part of the Juice Plus diet but I can't function properly without one and doing the job I do, I need to be able to concentrate and not be thinking about when I can't have a cup if tea! 

I have been eating well and not just eating badly, I have still ate more of the foods that the Juice Plus diet recommends and not too much of the bad things like bread, cakes . . . the list goes on! 

So after a few days without the shakes, I decided to get back on it and made another smoothie - Vanilla JP, Skimmed Milk and Bananas - BEST SMOOTHIE YET!!!



And I am so determined to get healthy and I want to have more energy and be able to say that I am a healthy person but like I said I'm not very good at diets!! But I am going to stick at it, if there is anything I have found out this week - to get results you need to do the hard work!!
